The Story Behind the Scent

Released in 2023 as part of Amouage’s prestigious Library Collection and crafted by Karine Vinchon-Spehner, Orris Wakan is a tribute to orris, the root of the iris flower, aged for years before it can be used, one of perfumery’s most precious materials.

Our interpretation follows that idea. We keep a warm saffron and bergamot up top, let orris and incense carry a powdery middle, and finish on a smooth leather, cedar and musk base.
