Bibliotheque was made to smell like a room full of books. Our version keeps that idea alive, opening with juicy peach and plum before easing into a soft floral heart and a warm base of leather, patchouli, and vanilla.

The Story Behind the Scent

Byredo built Bibliotheque as a scent memory of a favourite reading room. The name means library, and the goal was to capture the whole picture, the polished wood, the worn leather bindings, the faint sweetness of fruit and vanilla in the air.

What makes it clever is the balance. The fruit keeps it from feeling stuffy, the leather keeps it from feeling too sweet, and the vanilla ties the two together. Our interpretation holds that same balance, so it reads as cosy and grown up rather than like a simple dessert scent.

How it Smells
