The Lucky Charms collection arrived in 2022 as Carolina Herrera’s playful detour from her main fragrance line. Six perfumes, six bottles, each with a detachable charm meant to bring good fortune. Lucky Charm itself opens the collection and gives it its name: a sunlit floral fruity perfumed by Natalie Gracia Cetto and Roxanne Kirkpatrick, built around the unexpected pairing of mirabelle plum and powdered iris. The bottle wears a tiny orange beetle, a nod to Carolina A. Herrera’s childhood nickname. We thought it deserved a faithful interpretation, and built ours around that exact contrast of juicy fruit and clean floral powder.

How It Smells

The opening is a small explosion of mirabelle plum, that sweet stone fruit halfway between yellow plum and apricot, lifted by a sparkle of mandarin. The fruit reads natural, not candied, with a quick acidity that keeps it from feeling syrupy. Within twenty minutes the heart steps forward: iris, soft and slightly cool, married to a clean jasmine that smells laundered rather than indolic. The base is where the perfume gets quietly addictive. Vanilla absolute, the proper kind with a roasted edge, settles onto creamy sandalwood and turns the whole composition into something you want to keep sniffing on your own wrist.
