The brief was a fresh citrus floral built around grapefruit and geranium at the opening, neroli and petitgrain at the heart, and a deep base of cedar, oud, vetiver, oakmoss, amber and musk that ties it to the X lineage. The result occupied a different mood from the original X: brighter and more daytime-suitable while preserving the luxury character of the line. As a limited edition, distribution was always restricted, and the perfume has now been fully discontinued. Original bottles are increasingly difficult to source. Our interpretation brings the composition back at proper concentration.

How It Smells

The opening is bracingly fresh, grapefruit leading with its juicy bittersweet citrus character, geranium adding a slightly green floral support, and petitgrain contributing a quiet bitter green leaf nuance. Within fifteen minutes the heart settles into the perfume’s signature accord: neroli takes a leading role with its trademark honeyed white floral citrus character (rendered as polished and luxurious), tuberose adds a quiet creamy white floral support, and a green petitgrain edge continues threading through the middle.
