The Story Behind the Scent

Creed launched Neroli Sauvage in 1994, composed by Olivier Creed as one of the house’s most polished citrus aromatic colognes. The brief was a bracing Mediterranean cologne built on bergamot, grapefruit and verbena, with neroli at the heart and a soft ambergris and musk base. The sauvage, or wild, in the name points to its character: bright, untamed citrus rather than a tidy, orderly designer cologne.

It has stayed in production for over three decades, prized by people who want refined daytime cologne perfumery. Our interpretation respects that bright, wild character and builds it at a higher concentration so the citrus holds longer on skin.
