Nectar de Costa Rica, inspired by Escada Nectar de Costa Rica (2024)

Nectar de Costa Rica opens on ripe mango and pineapple, sweet and sunny without any sharp citrus behind them. Orange blossom and jasmine fill the middle, giving the fruit a light floral frame. The base is simple: musk and cedarwood, clean rather than heavy. Overall it stays light and easygoing, in the tradition of Escada's yearly summer releases.

About the original

Escada released Nectar de Costa Rica for summer 2024 as a limited edition in its series of seasonal scents, following Santorini Sunrise from 2023. It came out in the same season as Brisa Cubana. Fragrance press described it as a limited-edition resort and summer fragrance, sold as an Eau de Toilette. Like the brand's other summer editions, it was not added to the permanent range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Escada stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fans of tropical fruit cocktails in fragrance form will recognise the style straight away. It is sweet and playful, so anyone who wants a dry or sophisticated scent will find little to hold on to.

Is Escada Nectar de Costa Rica a limited edition?

Yes. It was Escada's limited summer edition for 2024 and is no longer produced, though some retailers still sell remaining stock.

How does it compare with Brisa Cubana?

Both came out for summer 2024. Nectar de Costa Rica centres on mango and pineapple with orange blossom and jasmine.

Is it very sweet?

It is fruity and sweet, as Escada's summer editions usually are, with a clean musk and cedar base to balance the fruit.

Is Escada Nectar de Costa Rica coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Escada about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
