Escada Agua del Sol was one of Escada’s summer limited editions, a bright, fruity floral made to capture sunshine and holiday warmth. Our interpretation carries that character in a long lasting Eau de Parfum, made in the EU.

The Story Behind the Scent

Since 1993, Escada has released an annual limited-edition summer fragrance, each a fun, fruity celebration of sunshine in colourful packaging, replaced by a new one the following year. Agua Del Sol was the 2016 edition, a sweet, frosty fruit sorbet of a scent. As a limited release it has long since been discontinued and replaced, so original bottles are scarce. Our interpretation keeps this summery treat available.

How Our Version Compares to the Original

Our interpretation rebuilds Agua Del Sol at 40 percent perfume oil, a far higher concentration than the lighter eau de toilette and eau de parfum sprays most people know, where the actual oil content is often only a small fraction of that. Made in the EU to careful standards, it is formulated to track the character you remember while giving you stronger projection and noticeably longer wear on skin. Because the oil load is so high, a little goes a long way: one or two dabs at the pulse points is usually enough for the day, and the scent unfolds slowly through its top, heart, and base over many hours rather than burning off within the first one. An oil based fragrance also sits closer to the skin and reacts to your own warmth and chemistry, so the way it develops on you will be subtly your own rather than identical to anyone else. If you want to stretch the wear even further, apply it to freshly moisturised skin, which holds the oils far better than dry skin and slows down evaporation. Storing it away from heat and direct light will also keep the blend smelling true for longer. This is an independent interpretation inspired by the original accord, blended in our own workshop, and it is not the branded fragrance itself.

How it Smells

This is cool orange sorbet on a hot afternoon. It opens frosty and sweet, with a creamy sorbet and ice cream accord wrapped around frozen raspberry, Asian pear, and a bright burst of mandarin and Italian citrus, sparkled with pink pepper. A soft heart of rose petals and apricot adds a fruity-floral roundness. The base settles into warm tonka bean, white musk, and sandalwood, giving just enough warmth to anchor the chill. Light, sugary, and refreshing, it smells like dessert by the pool.
