The brief was a sensual evening interpretation built around bergamot, mandarin, lychee and lily of the valley at the opening, tuberose at the heart, and a deeper base of caramel, vanilla, amber and sandalwood. Where the original The One reads as warm oriental floral, The One Desire pulled into denser gourmand-floral territory with the caramel-tuberose accord at its centre. Distribution has narrowed considerably as D&G has refreshed its lineup, with The One Desire becoming harder to source through major retailers. Our interpretation respects the concentrated character.

How It Smells
