The Story Behind the Scent

Estée Lauder built Cinnabar as a warm, opulent oriental, rich with spice and sweet resins. The idea was bold, glamorous warmth, a big scent for cold weather.

That rich spice is why it kept a cult following. The fruit keeps it juicy, the carnation and clove add heat, and the amber and vanilla make it warm. Since it was discontinued, fans have missed it. Our interpretation keeps it available.
