Intoxicated

Intoxicated, inspired by Kilian Paris Intoxicated (2014)

Cardamom opens it, green and aromatic, before a dark coffee note takes over. Cinnamon and nutmeg build around the coffee, giving the effect of a spiced Turkish brew. Sweetness arrives later as caramelised sugar and vanilla, with vetiver adding an earthy thread so the base does not turn syrupy.

About the original

Calice Becker composed Intoxicated for Kilian's Addictive State of Mind collection, launched in October 2014 alongside Light My Fire and Smoke for the Soul. Its stated inspiration is a cup of Turkish coffee laced with cardamom. Kilian now sells it within The Cellars collection and markets it as unisex.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kilian Paris stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Coffee drinkers who take their cup with spice are the obvious audience. It is sweet and heavily spiced, with cinnamon very present, so anyone wary of cinnamon or gourmand scents should test a sample first.

Does Intoxicated smell like coffee?

Yes, coffee is central from the start, but it is spiced with cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg, closer to Turkish coffee than a milky latte.

How does it compare with Kilian Black Phantom?

Both are Kilian coffee scents in The Cellars. Intoxicated is spice-led, while Black Phantom adds rum, caramel and bitter almond for a sweeter, boozier effect.
