Il Padrino, inspired by Sospiro Il Padrino (2025)

Rum and amaretto lead, the almond liqueur giving a bitter-sweet, marzipan tone while blackcurrant adds a tart, purple fruit note. Bergamot cuts through the alcohol for a short while. Sandalwood, amber and patchouli then make the middle smooth and rounded. Labdanum, a sticky resin with a leathery, ambery smell, joins Siam benzoin and vanilla in a dense, dark base.

About the original

Sospiro released Il Padrino in 2025. It is usually credited to Nathalie Templer working with Salah Al Zarooni, who has led the house since it moved its base from Turin to Dubai. Retail copy speaks to a man, but the scent is listed as unisex. No flankers have been found, so the name refers to a single fragrance.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Sospiro stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.
