Lime opens it, tart and green, with eucalyptus adding a cooling, almost medicinal freshness and violet leaf a crisp, leafy note. Cardamom and cumin come next; cumin in particular has a savoury, slightly skin-like quality that moves the mood from fresh to spicy. Elemi, a resin with a lemony, peppery smell, ties the citrus to the spice. Patchouli and cedarwood finish it on an earthy, woody note with a little musk.

Thai Vert is a Molton Brown hand-care scent, made as a hand wash and hand lotion rather than as a perfume. A retailer links it to Molton Brown's Lime & Patchouli hand wash, and the notes on this page come from that listing. Molton Brown has not published whether the two share a formula.
