Buttercream Haze, inspired by The 7 Virtues Buttercream Haze Eau de Parfum (2025)

Buttercream Haze goes straight for frosting: a buttery, sugared vanilla accord that smells like icing on a sponge cake. Maple caramel cream deepens it with a toffee-like sweetness. Whipped vanilla keeps the texture airy instead of dense. Tonka bean, with its almond and hay facets, carries the dessert note down to skin.

About the original

The 7 Virtues, a Canadian clean-beauty fragrance brand, launched Buttercream Haze at Sephora in autumn 2025. According to a February 2026 brand press release it became the biggest launch in the brand's history and sold out in 55 Sephora stores in its first weekend. The brand calls it a decadent vanilla perfume that is good enough to eat, and says its vanilla is fair trade and sustainably sourced. In 2026 it was followed by Strawberry Jam, a separate eau de parfum marketed as its layering partner.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not The 7 Virtues stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Gourmand fans will find exactly what the name promises. It is a realistic cake-and-icing vanilla with no green or woody counterweight. Wearers who like a dry or spicy vanilla may find it far too sugary.

The opening is pure confection: vanilla buttercream icing with a fluffy, whipped vanilla note on top.

Underneath, maple caramel crème adds a deeper, richer sweetness, and tonka bean settles everything into a smooth, almond-tinged vanilla finish.

Very. All four documented notes are gourmand: icing, caramel, whipped vanilla and tonka. Nothing fresh or woody cuts through it.
