About the perfume
Eau De Givenchy, inspired by Givenchy Eau de Givenchy (2018)
Citrus comes first and in quantity: bergamot, lemon, orange and mandarin, with petitgrain adding the woody, leafy bitterness of orange-tree twigs. Bitter almond then gives the heart an unexpected marzipan edge, softened by orange blossom and neroli. White musks carry it to the end, clean and quiet, without any heavy base.
About the original
The name goes back to 1980, when Givenchy released its first Eau de Givenchy. In 2018 François Demachy re-created it as a musky citrus inspired by Hubert de Givenchy's Clos Fiorentina gardens, presented in a new cylindrical bottle. That 2018 version is the one Givenchy sells today and the reference for this scent. Givenchy describes it as a floral bouquet flooded with light, and some perfume reviewers liken it to a feminine cologne.
Our version
Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Givenchy stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits
Summer is where Givenchy places it, and its citrus-and-musk structure is light and airy. The almond gives it a little more character than a plain cologne. Rich, ambery perfumes are the opposite of what it offers.

Common questions
Is this the 1980 or the 2018 Eau de Givenchy?
The 2018 version by François Demachy, which is the one Givenchy currently sells. The 1980 original came first under the same name; this page follows the 2018 re-creation.
Does Eau de Givenchy smell of almond?
A little. Bitter almond sits in the heart beside orange blossom, giving the citrus a faint marzipan note.
