Libre Vanille Couture, inspired by Yves Saint Laurent Libre Vanille Couture (2025)

Vanille Couture keeps the lavender and orange blossom that define Libre, then pours a thick layer of vanilla over them. The lavender is aromatic, the orange blossom honeyed. Madagascar bourbon vanilla caviar gives the base its density, and rum absolute adds a warm, boozy edge. The whole scent reads gourmand and ambery.

About the original

YSL released Libre Vanille Couture in 2025 as a limited edition in a gold-textured Libre bottle, sold in 50 ml only. The brand calls it a golden limited edition. It is still sold by YSL and major retailers. The perfumer has not been named.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Yves Saint Laurent stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rum and vanilla make this a rich, gourmand Libre, and reviewers suggest it for autumn and winter. The sweetness is pronounced. The original Libre is the better choice for a buyer who wants it without the dense vanilla.

No. It is a limited edition that YSL still sells, though limited editions may leave the range later.

Vanille Couture adds a dense vanilla and rum absolute, making it more gourmand. Libre Intense is a separate flanker, which we also make.
