Fantasy, inspired by Britney Spears Fantasy (2005)

The fruit at the top is tangy and green-edged, but it gives way within minutes. What follows is the part people remember: a cupcake accord and a white chocolate note that make the heart smell like a bakery counter. Jasmine sits in the middle without breaking the sugar. The drydown calms into musky woods with a little orris, the dried iris root that smells faintly powdery.

About the original

Fantasy launched in 2005 under the Elizabeth Arden licence as Britney Spears' second fragrance, after Curious. Its pink bottle is decorated with crystals and a ring motif. Launch coverage credits the perfumer Jim Krivda and calls the chocolate note a "white chocolate orchid". Fantasy became the basis for a long line of flankers, from Midnight Fantasy to Rocker Femme Fantasy.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Britney Spears stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sweetness is the whole point of Fantasy, and it makes no attempt to hide it. The fruit is brief and the bakery accord dominates, which suits fans of playful gourmands. Anyone after a fresh fruity scent may find it too sugary.

Yes. Give Back Beauty, which has held the Britney Spears fragrance licence since 2025, still lists Fantasy as available.

Is this the original Fantasy or a flanker?

The original Fantasy eau de parfum from 2005. Flankers such as Midnight Fantasy and Rocker Femme Fantasy are different scents.

Does it smell like chocolate?

There is a white chocolate note in the heart, but it reads as sugary and milky rather than cocoa-dark.
