The Vegan, Natural Nomade

Nomade Naturelle launched in 2022 as Chloé’s contribution to the natural and vegan fragrance category. Composed by Caroline Dumur, it took the Nomade idea and rebuilt it with 100 percent natural origin ingredients, building the composition around dates, mirabelle plum, Egyptian jasmine, freesia, and a soft sandalwood vanilla base. The natural fragrance world is full of compromises (some materials simply cannot be sourced naturally at quality), but Nomade Naturelle managed to deliver a fully wearable composition that satisfied both fragrance enthusiasts and the natural products market. Chloé has since renamed the perfume to Nomade Jasmin Naturel in some markets. Our interpretation respects the gourmand jasmine character at the heart of the composition.

How It Smells

The opening is sweet but balanced, dates giving an immediate fruity sweetness that distinguishes Naturelle from any other Nomade variant, mirabelle plum adding tart fruity lift, and bergamot brightening the early phase. Within fifteen minutes the floral heart settles: Egyptian jasmine absolute takes the lead with its trademark creamy slightly indolic character, freesia adds a clean fresh floral support, and the date sweetness threads through the entire heart phase. The base is the perfume’s signature gourmand turn. Sandalwood provides creamy wood depth, vanilla adds soft warmth without going saccharine, and oakmoss contributes a quiet green character that anchors the composition. The overall impression is solar gourmand floral, warm and slightly Middle Eastern in feel, distinctly different from the original chypre Nomade.

How Our Version Compares

Jasmine forward compositions reward concentration because the central flower needs proper body to maintain its character through the wearing. Our European Union production at 40 percent perfume oil concentration provides the depth Caroline Dumur’s original deserves, with the date plum opening sparkling cleanly, the Egyptian jasmine carrying the heart, and the sandalwood vanilla drydown lasting well into the next day.

Common Questions

How does it differ from the original Nomade?
Significantly. The original 2018 Nomade is a modern chypre built around freesia, oakmoss, and amberwood. Nomade Naturelle is a gourmand jasmine with dates and vanilla. They share a name and a bottle silhouette but smell quite different.

Is the name still Nomade Naturelle or has it changed?
Chloé renamed the fragrance to Nomade Jasmin Naturel in some markets to better reflect its actual composition. The fragrance itself remains the same. Our interpretation follows the original 2022 character whichever name you find it under.

Does the date note really come through?
Yes, distinctly. The dried date sweetness is one of the most recognisable features of the composition, and it pairs beautifully with the Egyptian jasmine. Many wearers find it reminds them of luxurious Middle Eastern desserts.

What season is best?
Year round, with a slight lean toward autumn and winter when the gourmand sandalwood drydown reads particularly well. The Egyptian jasmine keeps it from feeling out of season in warmer weather.
