A Way For Him, inspired by Trussardi A Way for Him (2014)

Citrus peel leads, with grapefruit in front and lemon and bergamot close behind. A crisp green apple and a salty, watery sea note then take the middle and keep things cool. Nothing here is complicated. As it dries, a touch of vanilla rounds off the citrus and leaves a light, pale-wood finish with a little patchouli.

About the original

Trussardi launched A Way for Him in 2014 together with a women's counterpart, A Way for Her, which is a separate fragrance. The perfumer credited is Alexandra Kosinski. Fragrance references class it as oriental woody, though its opening is led by citrus and green apple. It no longer appears in the perfume collection of Trussardi's official store, and it is reported to have been discontinued, although some European retailers still hold stock.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Trussardi stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Summer and casual wear are where wearers place this no-fuss scent. Light and approachable rather than distinctive, it sits better with casual wear than with formal evenings. The vanilla in the base is gentle but may surprise anyone expecting a purely zesty citrus.

No. A Way for Her was the women's fragrance launched alongside it in 2014 and is a separate scent.

Is A Way for Him sweet?

Only slightly. Vanilla smooths the base, but the overall impression stays citrus and fresh.

Is Trussardi A Way For Him coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Trussardi that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
