Coral, inspired by Michael Kors Coral (2015)

Grapefruit and lemon give Coral a tart, sparkling top, quickly rounded by raspberry and blackcurrant. Jasmine tea is the unusual touch: a floral note with the slightly tannic dryness of brewed leaves. Pink pepper adds a peppery fizz and orange blossom a clean floral layer. Underneath, sandalwood and cedar combine with musk and ambrox (a dry, ambergris-like material) in a smooth woody base.

About the original

Michael Kors launched Coral in October 2015 as an eau de parfum, first sold through Ulta in the United States. It is a flanker of the brand's original 2000 fragrance, Michael, and the launch copy presented it as a fresh take on that tuberose scent. Estée Lauder held the licence at the time; under a 2021 agreement it moved to EuroItalia, and the current range is built around Pour Femme and Pour Homme. Coral is not among the scents the brand lists today.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Michael Kors stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its mood is cheerful and fruit-led, closer to pink grapefruit than to a bouquet. The raspberry brings a sweetness some wearers will find too youthful, while sandalwood and cedar give it a clean finish.

Is Michael Kors Coral discontinued?

It no longer appears in Michael Kors' current range, which changed after the licence moved to EuroItalia in 2023. We have not found an official announcement from the brand.

Does Coral smell like the original Michael tuberose perfume?

The brand presented it as a new expression of Michael (2000), but its listed notes are fruit, citrus, florals and woods, with no tuberose named.

Is Michael Kors Coral coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Michael Kors that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
