Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz, inspired by Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz (2019)

Coconut here is clear and sparkling, closer to coconut water than to suntan cream. Bergamot sharpens the opening, and a watery fruit accord with freesia keeps the heart airy. Only in the base does it gain a little body, from sandalwood and tonka bean, the latter with its almond-vanilla smell. Lactonic, the term for milky, skin-like notes, describes the finish best.

About the original

Delphine Jelk created Coconut Fizz for Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria line in 2019. The Aqua Allegoria series is built on light, fresh compositions, and this one took coconut in that direction instead of the dense, sweet style common elsewhere. It is not among the Aqua Allegoria scents on Guerlain's US site, and fragrance references list it as withdrawn.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Guerlain stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Beach days and city heat are where it is usually recommended. It is light, unisex and easy to wear. Compared with a rich, creamy coconut, it is deliberately sheer.

It no longer appears in Guerlain's US Aqua Allegoria range, and fragrance references list it as withdrawn.

No. It is a watery, fresh coconut with bergamot and freesia, lighter than most coconut gourmands.

So far, we have found no announcement from Guerlain that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
