Erba Gold, inspired by Xerjoff Erba Gold (2023)

Erba Gold opens with Amalfi lemon, Calabrian bergamot and Brazilian orange, sharpened by fresh ginger. Green apple, melon and pear then arrive in the heart, ripe and fleshy, while cardamom, cinnamon and cloves give the fruit a spiced, golden cast. The base settles on musk, amber and Madagascar vanilla over woody notes. It stays sweet without becoming sticky.

About the original

Xerjoff launched Erba Gold in 2023 as a flanker of Erba Pura (2019), in the house's V collection, since renamed Vibe. The official page now shows refreshed packaging with a Lake Como silk scarf. Retailers list it as an eau de parfum, though the brand page does not state the concentration. Xerjoff has not named the perfumer.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Xerjoff stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Next to Erba Pura, this flanker is brighter and spicier, and at least one commenter found it sweeter and more vanillic. The overall mood is playful and fruity. Cinnamon and clove are clearly present in the heart, which is worth knowing before buying.

Erba Gold is the 2023 flanker. It adds cardamom, cinnamon and clove to the fruit and reads brighter and spicier than the 2019 Erba Pura, which we also make.

Is this related to Sospiro Erba Pura?

No. Sospiro Erba Pura is a different brand's fragrance with a similar name. Erba Gold belongs to Xerjoff's Erba line.
