Coconut milk leads the start, smooth and lactonic (that is, milky), with blackberry adding a darker berry note. A floral middle of wild lily and raspberry blossom keeps it from becoming purely edible. The base pairs sugared amber with an accord the brand calls warm sand, a sun-on-skin effect that ties the whole thing to the beach. Victoria's Secret files it as 'Gourmand Coconut'.

About the original

Coconut Passion is a long-standing Victoria's Secret body mist, made as a 250 ml fragrance mist rather than a perfume. It now belongs to the Classic Fragrance Mist range alongside Velvet Petals and Amber Romance, with the tagline 'sunkissed & sensual'. Its first release date has not been verified.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Victoria's Secret stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Coconut fans after something fruitier and more floral than a plain coconut scent are its obvious match. The brand copy leans on sun and sand, so it sits naturally with summer and the beach, but the coconut milk is unmissable and may feel too sweet for gourmand sceptics.
