Invictus Legend

Invictus Legend, inspired by Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend (2019)

Grapefruit and sea salt open it on a salty, marine note, closer to sea air than to a citrus cologne. Bay leaf and geranium follow with an aromatic, lightly spiced middle. Then the mood changes: red amber and guaiac wood, a wood with a smoky, balsamic smell, bring a honeyed sweetness that plays against the salt. The final stage is drier, more woody than sweet.

About the original

Invictus Legend came out in 2019 as an Eau de Parfum flanker of Invictus, Rabanne's 2013 men's line. One fragrance writer described a honeyed amber sweetness mixed with its aquatic side. Domitille Michalon Bertier and Nicolas Beaulieu are generally listed as its perfumers, without confirmation from the brand. Rabanne's current Invictus range, which includes Invictus Platinum and Invictus Victory, no longer lists it, and it is unrelated to Montblanc Legend.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Paco Rabanne stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

The contrast is the point: salt and grapefruit on one side, amber sweetness on the other. Men who like marine fragrances with some sweetness behind them are the likely fit. The amber sweetness in the base could put off buyers seeking a purely fresh aquatic.

It no longer appears in Rabanne's Invictus range, and we have not found a statement from the brand.

Is this related to Montblanc Legend?

No. Invictus Legend belongs to Paco Rabanne's Invictus line. Montblanc Legend is a separate scent, which we also make.

How does it differ from the original Invictus?

Invictus Legend is the 2019 Eau de Parfum flanker, built around sea salt and red amber. The original Invictus (2013) is a different composition, which we also make.

Is Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Paco Rabanne that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
