King Of Seduction, inspired by Antonio Banderas King of Seduction (2014)

Fruit comes first. Pineapple and green apple give the top a crunchy sweetness, while grapefruit and bergamot stop it turning syrupy. An aquatic accord, a clean watery effect that recalls sea air, runs through the middle, and cardamom adds a cool spice beneath neroli and jasmine. It settles on cedar, vetiver and white musk with a little amber, staying fresh to the end.

About the original

Antonio Banderas fragrances are made under licence by Puig, and King of Seduction appeared in 2014, first in Portugal according to launch press. It followed Blue Seduction for Men (2007) and Seduction in Black (2009). No perfumer has been named. King of Seduction Absolute and King of Seduction Summerland are later flankers, and this page is based on the original.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Antonio Banderas stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its appeal is ease: a fruity freshness with no smoke, leather or heavy spice to manage. The pineapple and apple opening is noticeably sweet, which may not suit men who lean towards dry, woody fragrances.

This page is based on the original King of Seduction eau de toilette from 2014. Absolute is a later flanker with its own composition.

Is King of Seduction sweet?

It starts on the sweet side because of the pineapple and green apple. The drydown of cedar, vetiver and musk is much drier.
