Reveal, inspired by Calvin Klein Reveal Calvin Klein (2014)

Reveal is usually described as salt drying on sun-warmed skin. Black, white and pink pepper give the salty opening a dry crackle. Ambergris, a marine material with a mineral, skin-like quality, sits beside powdery iris in the heart. As it settles, sandalwood and cashmeran (a woody musk with a felted texture) turn it gently sweet, yet the salt never quite leaves.

About the original

Launched in September 2014, Reveal is often described as a solar oriental, and its campaign starred Doutzen Kroes and Charlie Hunnam. Jean-Marc Chaillan and Bruno Jovanovic are credited as the perfumers. Now Smell This noted that the saltiness persists well into the drydown. A men's Reveal followed in 2015 as a separate fragrance. The women's edition is no longer listed on Calvin Klein's US site, and perfume databases mark it as discontinued.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Calvin Klein stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Someone who prefers skin scents and mineral, beachy notes to flowers will understand it straight away. It starts dry and peppery and only later turns gently sweet; those who want obvious florals or fruit may find it austere.

Is Calvin Klein Reveal discontinued?

It no longer appears on Calvin Klein's US website and perfume databases list it as discontinued. Calvin Klein has not commented publicly.

Is this the women's or the men's Reveal?

The women's eau de parfum from 2014. Reveal Men, released in 2015, is a different fragrance.

Does Reveal really smell salty?

Yes. Salt is one of the listed notes, and the salty effect stays noticeable well into the drydown.

Is Calvin Klein Reveal coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Calvin Klein that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
