Roses De Chloe, inspired by Chloé Roses de Chloé (2013)

Lychee gives the rose a watery, slightly exotic fruitiness right from the first spray, sharpened by lemon and bergamot. Tarragon adds a small aniseed-green twist that keeps it from tasting candied. Damask rose and magnolia carry the heart with a little apple and peach. It is linear by design, so the drydown of white musk and amber feels like a quieter version of the same rose rather than a change of direction.

About the original

Roses de Chloé came out in September 2013, composed by Michel Almairac and Mylène Alran as a flanker to Chloé Eau de Parfum. Fragrance references connect its launch with a Chloé anniversary and describe it as a fresh rose interpretation. Now Smell This called it simple, linear and youthful. It is not the same as Chloé Rose Naturelle or Rose Tangerine. Chloé no longer lists it, and Nordstrom marks it as no longer available.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Chloé stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

A spring rose, for someone who finds most rose perfumes too dense. It is airy and soapy-clean. People hoping for depth or a dramatic drydown may find it too simple.

Is Roses de Chloé the same as Chloé Rose Naturelle?

No. Roses de Chloé is the 2013 lychee and damask rose flanker. Rose Naturelle is a separate Chloé fragrance.

Is Roses de Chloé still available from Chloé?

It no longer appears in Chloé's fragrance range, and Nordstrom lists it as no longer available.

Is it sweet?

Lightly fruity from the lychee and peach, but the overall impression is clean and soapy rather than sugary.

Is Roses De Chloe coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Chloé that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
