Sensuous Nude, inspired by Estée Lauder Sensuous Nude (2011)

A short spark of pink pepper and bergamot opens Nude, with mandarin and a second, drier pepper behind it. The heart is where it becomes a skin scent: coconut and white honey blend with musk into something smooth and faintly milky, while jasmine and lily-of-the-valley stay discreet. Sandalwood dominates the base, which can give a pencil-shavings dryness, rounded off by vanilla and heliotrope over a little amber.

About the original

Estée Lauder launched Sensuous Nude in August 2011, the second flanker of Sensuous after Sensuous Noir. Launch coverage at the time also mentioned coconut water and a 'Melted Woods' accord. There was both an Eau de Parfum and a separate Eau de Toilette; this page refers to the Eau de Parfum. Nude has gone from Estée Lauder's US, UK and French ranges, leaving only the original Sensuous, and perfume databases record it as withdrawn.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Estée Lauder stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its texture is milky and musky, the sort of scent that reads as skin rather than perfume. Coconut is noticeable, so anyone who dislikes it should be wary. The pencil-like dryness of the sandalwood is not to everyone's taste either.

Estée Lauder no longer lists it in the US, UK or France, and fragrance references record it as withdrawn. No official date has been given.

Yes. Coconut sits in the heart with honey and musk, giving a milky, skin-like effect rather than a beachy one.

Which Sensuous Nude is this?

The 2011 Eau de Parfum, which fragrance references treat as the main version. A separate Eau de Toilette also existed.

Is Estée Lauder Sensuous Nude coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Estée Lauder that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
