Bon Bon, inspired by Viktor&Rolf Bonbon Eau de Parfum (2014)

Bonbon begins with citrus and fruit, mandarin and orange plus a mellow peach, before the caramel arrives and takes over. The brand described that caramel as buttery, and it has a dense, golden feel rather than a thin sugary one. Orange blossom and jasmine run through it, giving a floral sheen. Cedar, sandalwood and guaiac wood (a wood with a smoky, resinous smell) sit in the base and add a dry woodiness that keeps the sweetness from going flat.

About the original

Viktor&Rolf released Bonbon in spring 2014 as its second major women's fragrance after Flowerbomb. Launch coverage credits Cécile Matton and Serge Majoullier, and the pink gradient bottle was shaped like a wrapped sweet tied with a bow. In 2026 it introduced three layerable flankers, Berry Jelly, Caramel Crunch and Cola Fizz. Viktor&Rolf's US site has since withdrawn the original, but the brand still sells it in Europe and the UK.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Viktor&Rolf stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sweetness is the whole point here, so it rewards anyone who enjoys caramel and candied notes in perfume. The cedar and guaiac base gives it more body than a plain sugar scent. Caramel stays prominent from start to finish, which makes it a poor match for those who find gourmands cloying.

Caramel then moves to the front, rich and buttery, with jasmine and orange blossom adding a floral roundness around it.

The drydown settles on cedar, guaiac wood and sandalwood, with amber keeping the caramel company to the end.

Is Viktor&Rolf Bonbon discontinued?

Not in Europe. Viktor&Rolf's US site has withdrawn the original Eau de Parfum, but the brand still sells it in its European and UK store.

Is this the same as Bonbon Caramel Crunch?

No. Caramel Crunch is one of three Bonbon flankers released in 2026. Our version is inspired by the original 2014 Bonbon.

How sweet is it?

Very. Caramel is the dominant note, balanced only partly by citrus at the top and woods in the base.
