Eros Pour Femme, inspired by Versace Eros Pour Femme (2014)

Citrus does the introductions: Sicilian lemon and Calabrian bergamot, with pomegranate adding a tart red-fruit note. Lemon blossom bridges into the heart, where sambac jasmine and peony give a luminous floral middle. The base is smooth and woody, sandalwood and amber wrapped in musk, which keeps the flowers from feeling thin.

About the original

Versace introduced Eros Pour Femme in Italy in December 2014 and worldwide in 2015 as the women's counterpart to Eros, the 2012 men's fragrance. Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich composed it. The gold bottle carries a Medusa head in relief and Greek-key detailing, and Lara Stone fronted the campaign. A separate Eau de Toilette version also exists; this page refers to the Eau de Parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Versace stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

A wearer who wants a polished citrus floral will find it sits between fresh and rich: the citrus keeps it lively and the musky woods give it substance. Devotees of heavy orientals may think it too clean.

Is it based on the Eau de Parfum or the Eau de Toilette?

It is modelled on the original 2014 Eau de Parfum. Versace's Eau de Toilette is a separate version.
