Marry Me, inspired by Lanvin Marry Me! (2010)

Bitter orange gives the opening a zesty pull, and peach adds a fuzzy sweetness right beside it. The heart is gentle and petal-like: jasmine and magnolia carry most of it, with rose and freesia keeping it airy. Below sits a sheer base of musk with cedar and amber, described at launch as dreamy and almost powdery.

About the original

Lanvin launched Marry Me! on 27 September 2010 as an eau de parfum in 30, 50 and 75 ml. The bottle carries Lanvin's bow motif with a fuchsia satin ribbon and a silver cap. Launch coverage names Antoine Maisondieu as the perfumer, though some databases credit others. Several limited flankers followed between 2012 and 2014, including Love Edition and À la Folie, in similar bottles under different names.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lanvin stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its mood is romantic and light-hearted, a floral that reads as fresh-faced rather than dramatic. Peach brings sweetness, but bitter orange and musk keep it from turning syrupy. Lovers of spice or heavy, resinous bases will find it too gentle.

Is this the original Marry Me or one of the limited editions?

The original Marry Me! eau de parfum from 2010. Later editions such as Love Edition (2012) or À la Folie (2013) are separate flankers.

Is Marry Me the same as Lanvin Me?

No. Lanvin Me (2013) is a sweet fruity gourmand with blueberry and licorice. We make both.

Is Marry Me very sweet?

Moderately. Peach gives it sweetness, but the bitter orange opening and musky base keep it light.
