Nomade, inspired by Chloé Nomade (2018)

Mirabelle plum, a small golden plum with a honeyed sweetness, sets the tone at first spray. Freesia gives the heart a clean floral lift. What makes Nomade distinctive is the oakmoss beneath: intense and mineral, it pulls the fruit down to earth and gives the scent its chypre shape. Chloé set out to make it less floral and rougher than the house's best-known fragrance.

About the original

Quentin Bisch of Givaudan composed Nomade, which Chloé launched in 2018 as a new pillar fragrance, a decade after the 2008 Chloé Eau de Parfum. The bottle borrows from the house's Drew bag. Ariane Labed appeared in the campaign, filmed by Fleur Fortuné. Later flankers include Nomade Naturelle, which we also make.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Chloé stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its mix of plum and moss works best as a confident, grown-up daily scent rather than something delicate. The oakmoss is noticeable and slightly earthy, which may surprise anyone expecting a gentle Chloé floral.

How is Nomade different from Chloé's signature fragrance?

Chloé designed Nomade to be less floral and more 'dirty' than its signature fragrance, using mirabelle plum and oakmoss in a chypre structure.

Does Nomade smell mossy?

Yes. Oakmoss is the base note and gives it a mineral, earthy depth beneath the plum.
