So Scandal, inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier So Scandal! (2020)

So Scandal! opens with a burst of raspberry and orange blossom, sweet and slightly jammy. Tuberose arrives quickly, rich and buttery, alongside jasmine sambac for a lusher white-floral heart. A milky accord then rounds everything off, giving it a smooth, lactic texture. Fruitier and milkier than the original Scandal, it leaves out the honey listed in earlier Scandals.

About the original

Jean Paul Gaultier released So Scandal! in 2020 as a flanker of Scandal (2017). Daphné Bugey and Fabrice Pellegrin are credited with the composition. The house describes it as an explosion of white flowers dressed in pink, and the bottle is cut in deeper pink faceted glass than earlier editions. Gaultier still sells it on its international site, though it no longer appears on several of its national sites.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jean Paul Gaultier stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Tuberose fans looking for a sweeter, fruitier version of that flower will enjoy it. It is sweet and noticeably milky. If heady white florals give you a headache, approach with caution.
