This Is Her

This Is Her, inspired by Zadig & Voltaire This is Her! (2016)

Chestnut is the note that sets This is Her! apart: a chestnut cream accord that smells of roasted nuts with a mellow, mealy sweetness. Pink pepper gives the first minutes a peppery sparkle, and jasmine sambac adds a floral layer that keeps it from reading as pure dessert. Vanilla blends into the chestnut as it develops, and sandalwood forms a smooth, milky-woody base.

About the original

Zadig & Voltaire launched This is Her! in September 2016 alongside the men's This is Him!. Sidonie Lancesseur and Michel Almairac composed it, with sandalwood as the ingredient shared by the pair. The brand's stated aim was a balance between something clean and something darker. It comes in a white bottle with deliberately cracked edges.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Zadig & Voltaire stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Gourmand fans who find caramel and sugar too obvious tend to like the nutty angle here. With chestnut and vanilla at its centre it reads as cosy and slightly edible, and pink pepper only lifts the start. Fans of crisp citrus or green florals may find the nutty heart too heavy.
