Angel Eau Croisiere, inspired by Mugler Angel Eau Croisière (2019)

Eau Croisière opens like a fruit sorbet: ripe mango, tart grapefruit and black currant, cold and sweet at once. The citrus keeps the sugar in check for the first stretch. Underneath sit the praline and patchouli familiar from Angel, though here they feel lighter. It reads as a holiday version of the original rather than a reworking of it.

About the original

Mugler released Angel Eau Croisière in 2019 as a limited summer eau de toilette in a pink and yellow star bottle, composed by Sidonie Lancesseur. A second edition under the same name followed in 2020 with different notes, built around fig nectar and magnolia. Mugler itself called that sequel the last chapter of the Eau Croisière series. Neither edition is part of the current range.

Our version

When we make it, ours will be an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It will not be Mugler stock, an official relaunch or the original formula.

Who it suits

Summer is where it belongs, hot afternoons above all. It is lighter than Angel but still clearly sweet, and the tropical fruit can tip towards candy. Because the patchouli base is pared back, it will not satisfy a fan of the full, dense Angel.

Mango and grapefruit open it with a tart, tropical coolness, and black currant adds a sorbet-like edge.

The middle stays fruity as the sweetness builds towards praline.

Praline and patchouli carry the drydown, a lighter echo of Angel's base.

The 2019 edition, built on mango and grapefruit sorbet. The 2020 edition with fig nectar and magnolia is a different scent.

Is Angel Eau Croisière still made?

No. Both editions were limited releases and are no longer produced.

Is Mugler Angel Eau Croisiere coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Mugler about a re-release. Our own version is not in stock yet. You can vote for it on our wishlist.
