Be Delicious Mai Tai, inspired by DKNY Be Delicious Pool Party Mai Tai (2019)

Peach dominates from start to finish. Orange oil and a prick of pink pepper open it, then the fruit settles into a heart of peach with unnamed floral notes behind it. Solar notes, the accord perfumers use to suggest sun-heated skin, and a little amber close it out. The overall feel is clean and almost shampoo-fresh rather than sticky.

About the original

Mai Tai was released in 2019 as part of DKNY's Be Delicious Pool Party summer collection. The name nods to the cocktail, but the documented notes centre on orange and peach rather than rum. It came as a 50 ml eau de toilette, with a matching body mist under the same name. Retailers sold it as a limited edition, and it is no longer produced or shown on DKNY's site.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not DKNY stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Light and uncomplicated, it suits summer days and casual daytime wear. Anyone hoping for a boozy or tropical cocktail note will be disappointed, and the shampoo-like cleanness may feel too simple to those who like depth.

Is DKNY Be Delicious Mai Tai coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from DKNY about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
