The Key, inspired by Justin Bieber The Key (2013)

Osmanthus, a blossom that smells of apricot and faintly of leather, sets the tone alongside pear and tangerine. Boysenberry adds a darker berry note, but the overall effect at the start is sparkling rather than syrupy. The heart is light and watery, with water lily, jasmine and peach. Raspberry appears late in the drydown, folded into vanilla, white musk and woods.

About the original

Elizabeth Arden presented The Key in July 2013 as Justin Bieber's third women's fragrance. The bottle is white lacquer with a gold padlock and key, and the campaign featured Bieber with the model Amalie Schou, photographed by Billy Nava. Spanish press described the composition as fruit over a floral bouquet and a smooth base of exotic woods and vanilla.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Justin Bieber stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its water lily, jasmine and peach heart is light and watery, and the vanilla is held back for the base. It still finishes sweet, with raspberry and vanilla in the base, so it will not suit those who avoid fruity scents altogether.
