Be Delicious, inspired by DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Parfum (2004)

Be Delicious smells like biting into a cold green apple. Cucumber and grapefruit make the opening watery and tart, and magnolia adds a fresh petal note almost straight away. In the heart, lily of the valley, violet, rose and a little tuberose stay in the background, supporting the fruit rather than competing with it. Sandalwood and amber give a smooth, clean base that never turns heavy.

About the original

DKNY launched Be Delicious in 2004 in its apple-shaped bottle, and the perfumer usually credited is Maurice Roucel. It grew into a large family of flankers, including Golden Delicious and Be Tempted. Since July 2022 the Donna Karan and DKNY fragrances have been produced under licence by Inter Parfums, which still sells the original. This page is for the women's Be Delicious, not the separate men's version.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not DKNY stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its crisp, uncomplicated character makes it easy to wear without much thought about the occasion. Light on florals and on sugar, it may feel too simple for those looking for something richer or more sensual.

Is Be Delicious sweet?

Only slightly. The apple is green and tart, and cucumber and grapefruit keep it fresh rather than sugary.

How does it differ from Be Tempted?

Be Tempted (2016) is a darker, sweeter flanker with liquorice, patchouli, vanilla and myrrh. Be Delicious is the fresh, green original.
