The Story Behind the Scent

DKNY built Be Delicious around the idea of a New York apple, fresh, crisp and full of energy. It arrived when clean, fruity scents were becoming hugely popular and quickly became one of the most recognisable, loved for feeling youthful and easy without being overly sweet.

The character is bright and clean throughout. Green apple, cucumber and grapefruit give a crisp, juicy opening, a soft floral heart of magnolia, rose and lily adds a light warmth, and a base of white amber, sandalwood and musk keeps it smooth and grounded. It reads fresh, modern and easy to wear. Our version keeps that same crisp fruity floral character, rebuilt at a higher oil concentration for more presence and longer wear.

How Our Version Compares to the Original

We do not claim this is identical, because no interpretation ever is. What we have captured is the original’s crisp green apple opening and its soft floral musk base. The main difference is strength. Ours is blended at up to 40% perfume oil, so it projects more clearly and lasts longer on skin and clothing than the original.
