Honey, inspired by Marc Jacobs Honey (2013)

Pear and mandarin lead, mixed into a fruit-punch accord that smells like a glass of something cold and sugary. Honeysuckle then softens it, a nectar-like flower, with orange blossom and peach adding a ripe, sunlit body. The honey of the name stays mostly in the base, where it blends with vanilla and pale woods. Despite the name, it is a fruity floral first and a honey scent second.

About the original

Marc Jacobs released Honey in July 2013, created by Annie Buzantian with Ann Gottlieb. The brand called it a sunny, golden floral. It followed Dot (2012), and its bottle is decorated with bee motifs. Honey no longer appears in Marc Jacobs' current fragrance range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Marc Jacobs stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Younger, playful tastes are its natural audience. It is sweet and fruity without heaviness, so lovers of dark honey or animalic notes should look elsewhere.

It no longer appears in Marc Jacobs' fragrance range. Marc Jacobs has made no public statement about it that we could find.

Does Marc Jacobs Honey smell strongly of honey?

Not at first. The opening is fruity and the heart is floral; honey shows mainly in the drydown, alongside vanilla.

Is Marc Jacobs Honey coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Marc Jacobs that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
