Bronze Goddess Azur, inspired by Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Azur (2020)

Azur is the citrus side of Bronze Goddess. Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian lemon and Calabrian mandarin give a zesty, sunlit opening, then neroli and orange blossom bring a clean white-floral tone. Fig adds a green, leafy sweetness and a salty sea accord makes it feel coastal. The base keeps a little of the family coconut, as coconut milk, with musk, ambroxan (a clean, mineral amber note) and cedar.

About the original

Estée Lauder launched Azur in early 2020 as a 50 ml eau de toilette flanker of Bronze Goddess. Its launch coverage did not describe it as a limited edition. It is no longer on the Bronze Goddess page of Estée Lauder's website, which now shows only the Eau Fraîche, the eau de parfum and Nuit, and it has been withdrawn, according to reports. Despite the similar name, Azurée and Azurée Soleil are older, separate Estée Lauder fragrances.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Estée Lauder stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Someone who finds the original Bronze Goddess too rich will likely prefer this. It is light and salty, suited to hot days and the coast. The coconut milk in the base is subtle but present, which matters if you avoid that note entirely.

Is Bronze Goddess Azur discontinued?

It no longer appears in Estée Lauder's range, and a reviewer has reported its discontinuation. Estée Lauder has not commented publicly.

Does Azur smell of coconut?

Only lightly. Coconut milk sits in the base, but citrus, neroli and sea salt lead.

How is it different from Bronze Goddess Soleil?

Both are citrus-led flankers. Azur adds fig and salty sea notes, while Soleil (2011) leans on petitgrain, lavender and iris.

Is Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Azur coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Estée Lauder that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
