Forbidden, inspired by Victoria's Secret Forbidden (2014)

Pear gives the opening a crisp, pale fruitiness. Jasmine follows with a heady white-floral warmth, and the base turns to amber and woody notes that deepen the whole thing. The contrast between light fruit and resinous amber is what defines it. Fragrance databases describe it as exotic and hot.

About the original

Victoria's Secret released Forbidden in 2014 as an eau de parfum in 50 and 100 ml, in purple bottles with a leopard-print design, alongside matching body products. Later mists reused the name, among them Forbidden Fantasy, Forbidden Berries and Forbidden Rose, but they are different scents. The 2014 eau de parfum no longer appears on Victoria's Secret's US or UK sites and has been withdrawn, according to reports.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Victoria's Secret stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its amber base gives it more depth than sparkle. Pear brings some fruit at the start, but amber and woods carry the rest, so it suits a wearer who wants warmth.

This is the original 2014 Forbidden eau de parfum. Forbidden Fantasy, Forbidden Berries and Forbidden Rose are later, separate mists.

So far, we have found no announcement from Victoria's Secret that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
