Amor Amor Forbidden Kiss, inspired by Cacharel Amor Amor Forbidden Kiss (2011)

Forbidden Kiss adds coffee to Cacharel's Amor Amor line. Grapefruit and mandarin give it a zesty start, and pink pepper gives it a little fizz. The coffee arrives soon after, set among frangipani and peony, so the heart smells like a café table with flowers on it. Vanilla and musk then take over, turning the finish powdery and sweet.

About the original

Cacharel launched Forbidden Kiss in September 2011 as a flanker to Amor Amor (2003), sold as an eau de toilette. The campaign played on a 'forbidden love' story of a rebellious heroine and a bad boy. It was not presented as a limited edition, but it is listed as discontinued in fragrance references. It is often described as a lighter relative of YSL's Black Opium.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Cacharel stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

A playful, sweet gourmand like this is most often worn in autumn. The vanilla drydown turns powdery, which may disappoint anyone hoping for a darker, more bitter coffee note.
