Moon Sparkle, inspired by Escada Moon Sparkle (2007)

Strawberry and blackcurrant give a tart red-and-purple fruit opening, with red apple adding crunch and citrus a lift. Sweet pea and freesia make the heart airy and dewy, while jasmine and rose give it shape. The berries return in the base as raspberry, now cushioned by musk, sandalwood and amber. It stays fruity from start to finish, though the edge of the opening mellows.

About the original

Aurélien Guichard composed Moon Sparkle, a summer limited edition presented in 2007, though some lists date it 2008. Its theme was moonlight, carried through in a blue-lilac bottle. Escada has since brought back Chiffon Sorbet (2024), Taj Sunset (2025) and Pacific Paradise (2026), but Moon Sparkle has not been reissued. Fans regularly name it among the editions they would like to see return.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Escada stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Spring and summer suit it, especially for younger wearers or anyone fond of a fruity floral with some tartness. The musk keeps it clean, but those who want depth or spice will find little of it here.

Was Moon Sparkle released in 2007 or 2008?

It was presented in 2007 as a summer edition, and some lists give 2008. Both dates refer to the same fragrance.

Has Escada re-released Moon Sparkle?

Not as of 2026. Other summer editions, including Chiffon Sorbet and Taj Sunset, have returned, but Moon Sparkle has not.

Is it a berry or a floral scent?

Mostly berry. Strawberry and raspberry frame it at both ends, with sweet pea and freesia lightening the middle.
