Lemon opens it with a zesty snap, while calone, a molecule with a watery, sea-air quality, gives the impression of ice and blue water. A vodka accord adds a clean, slightly boozy chill, and ginger brings a spicy tingle in the heart. Ambroxan and white musk form a smooth, mineral base.

About the original

Sidonie Lancesseur created Blue Moon Ginger Dash, which Kilian released in March 2023 as a limited addition to The Liquors collection. It was inspired by the Blue Lagoon cocktail of the 1990s and marketed as a summer scent. The product page on Kilian's site no longer leads to the fragrance, though a cocktail page still features it.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kilian Paris stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Summer is where it belongs: the brand marketed it as a warm-weather cocktail scent. It suits relaxed evenings and holidays. The calone gives it a noticeably marine, watery edge.

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Kilian Paris about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
