Pleasures Delight, inspired by Estée Lauder Pleasures Delight (2007)

Red fruit and sugar define Delight from start to finish. Strawberry and pomegranate open with a bright, tart sweetness, freshened by freesia and green notes. Peony and lily form a pale floral middle, but the sweetness keeps climbing. By the drydown it smells of marshmallow and caramel, with just enough patchouli to stop it turning into pure confectionery.

About the original

Pleasures Delight was released in 2007 as a flanker of Pleasures (1995), one of several alongside Pleasures Intense, Pleasures Exotic and Pleasures Bloom. No perfumer is publicly credited in the sources we checked, and we have not been able to confirm whether it was a limited edition. Estée Lauder's current Pleasures pages list only Pleasures and Pleasures Intense, and reports indicate Delight was quietly dropped.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Estée Lauder stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Gourmand fans are the obvious audience: marshmallow and caramel are the main event, not an accent. It is often described as cosy and addictive. A fan of dry or fresh scents will find the fruit-and-flower opening too brief to change that.

Is Pleasures Delight discontinued?

It no longer appears on Estée Lauder's Pleasures pages, which list only Pleasures and Pleasures Intense, and reports say it has been withdrawn.

How sweet is it?

Very. Marshmallow, caramel and vanilla dominate the drydown, so it sits firmly in gourmand territory.

Was Pleasures Delight a limited edition?

We have not been able to confirm this. It launched in 2007 as a Pleasures flanker, and its current status rests on its absence from the brand's range.

Is Estée Lauder Pleasures Delight coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Estée Lauder that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
