Strong Me, inspired by Paco Rabanne Pacollection Strong Me (2019)

Rum and davana open the scent, davana being a herb whose oil smells fruity, boozy and a little like dried apricot. Vanilla follows quickly, smooth and dessert-like, paired with dark black plum. Amber wood and benzoin, a balsamic resin with a vanilla-like sweetness, deepen the base. The result is heady and dense but stays smooth rather than sharp.

About the original

Strong Me was one of six unisex scents in the Pacollection, launched by Paco Rabanne in June 2019 at Selfridges and the first fragrance line made under creative director Julien Dossena. The six came in flexible, unbreakable bottles in different shades of silver. Press materials credit the perfumer as Fabrice Pellerin, a spelling that likely refers to Fabrice Pellegrin. Strong Me is no longer listed on Rabanne's UK, US or French sites, and UK retailers show it as unavailable.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Paco Rabanne stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rich and sweet, it pleases those who enjoy liqueur and vanilla scents, and one wearer described it as a creamy autumn vanilla. Its boozy plum sweetness is pronounced, which may feel too heavy for anyone who prefers fresh or dry fragrances.

Is Strong Me related to Blossom Me?

No. Blossom Me is a separate Rabanne fragrance and not part of the 2019 Pacollection.
