Taj Sunset, inspired by Escada Taj Sunset (2011)

Mango is the headline here, ripe and pulpy, with nectarine and blood orange adding tang. Raspberry and star apple keep the fruit going into the heart, where water lily and lotus add a watery, cooling floral layer. The finish turns tropical in a different way: coconut, musk and sandalwood, rounded and close to the skin. It is fruit-forward from start to finish.

About the original

Taj Sunset first appeared in 2011 as Escada's summer limited edition, its bottle inspired by India. According to fragrance blogs and retailer listings, Escada reissued it in 2025 among several past summer editions, still labelled Limited Edition and in new packaging. We have not been able to confirm the reissue on an official Escada page, and it may itself be time-limited. Whether the 2025 formula matches the 2011 original is not known.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Escada stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Mango lovers first of all. It is a holiday scent, sweet and fruity, best on hot days and holidays. Coconut surfaces in the drydown, so it is worth knowing before you buy if that note bothers you.

Is Escada Taj Sunset discontinued?

The 2011 edition was a one-season release, but reports indicate Escada brought out a reissue in 2025, which some retailers list. We could not confirm it with Escada directly.

Does Taj Sunset contain coconut?

Yes, in the base, alongside musk and sandalwood. The opening and heart are led by mango and other fruit.

Is the 2025 version the same as the 2011 one?

We do not know. No published comparison of the two formulas has been found.
