The Story Behind the Scent

Released in 2009, Only The Brave was Diesel’s first standalone men’s fragrance, housed in the now familiar clenched fist bottle. Co-created by a team including Olivier Polge, it set out to be a fresh yet warm, confident masculine.

Our interpretation follows that character. We keep the lemon, mandarin and coriander fresh up top, let amber, cedar and violet leaf carry the middle, and finish on a warm leather, benzoin and amber base.

How Our Version Compares to the Original

The original is a designer release. We build ours at a higher perfume oil concentration so the fresh notes and leather last longer, while keeping the same confident character.

We build ours as an eau de parfum with a high perfume oil load, so most people find it projects and lasts as well as, or better than, the original release.
