The Only One

The Only One, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana The Only One (2018)

The Only One sets violet against coffee, and that contrast shapes the whole scent. Bergamot gives the start a fresh lift, while the violet adds a candied, powdery floral tone. Coffee then brings a roasted, slightly bitter depth, and iris adds a cool, cosmetic powder. Vanilla and patchouli settle underneath, with a caramel-like sweetness that grows as it dries down.

About the original

Dolce & Gabbana released The Only One at the end of August 2018 as a new take on The One (2006). Emilia Clarke fronted the campaign. The official page classes it as floral powdery, built on violet, coffee and iris, while the launch material called it a floriental-gourmand. It remains in the D&G range and has been followed by The Only One 2 and an Intense version.
