Bad, inspired by Diesel Bad (2016)

Bad starts in familiar territory, bergamot and lavender with cool cardamom and violet leaf. The twist comes next: a caviar accord, unusual and savoury, set against powdery orris and sage. As it dries down, tobacco and patchouli add depth, while tonka bean and ambroxan, a modern ambergris-like material, keep it smooth.

About the original

Diesel launched Bad in 2016, with actor Boyd Holbrook fronting the campaign. The brand presented it as exploring 'the fresh salty side' of woody scents, with a caviar accord for a salty touch. Even the bottle carries the theme, its glass micro-engraved to look like the leather of a biker jacket. Diesel still sells the eau de toilette, and a separate Bad Intense exists.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Diesel stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its savoury, salty middle is the deciding factor. Men who like tobacco and lavender scents with a less predictable twist will enjoy it, while the caviar accord may seem strange to a wearer expecting a conventional sweet woody scent.
