Baie 19 is Le Labo's take on the smell of rain after a long dry spell, and our version keeps that wet, green, slightly earthy feel: crushed juniper up top, damp leaves and patchouli in the heart, and a clean ambroxan musk base.

The Story Behind the Scent

Launched in 2019 as part of Le Labo's classic collection and created by perfumer Frank Voelkl, Baie 19 was built around petrichor, the scent that rises from warm ground when the first rain hits it. Le Labo itself jokes that it could have been called Water 19, because it feels less like a perfume and more like the air after a storm.

Our interpretation follows that idea. We keep the dry juniper berry bright and a little bitter, let green leaves and patchouli bring the damp earth, and settle it on ambroxan and musk so the freshness stays on skin instead of vanishing in the first hour.
